"My earliest, vague memory of horse racing was the 1968 Grand National. I can't remember watching it (that memory belongs to the 1970 running) but from that moment I was hooked. I can name every winner for the next 15 years and, as a child, made my own Grand National board game which I used to play on my own up in my bedroom. My love of horse racing has been with me since".
'Leg' is an abbreviation of 'Legin', my nickname since Highschool. It's Nigel backward....and I used to hate it. I've grown used to it now though (and it's better than 'NiNi' which used to be my nickname before it)
"When I was a kid, my dad's best mate George used to come to our house. The first thing he'd get me to do was to put the horse racing on the TV. We would just sit there, trying to pick winners. I've been into horse racing ever since then.
I love visiting the different racecourses, meeting fellow racegoers and discussing tips and form with them, and trying to pick out a winner just by looking at it".
'Cheg' is my nickname, given to me because I used to wear multi-coloured jumpers like Keith 'Cheggers' Chegwin used to wear when on SwapShop back in the late 80s. Before that I was Jodge...and before that JuJu.
